The magic of sea salt

Sea salt has been praised for centuries. It contains magnesium, sodium, potassium and zinc, and all of them are the key to keep us alive, as every cell of our body contains salt. Sea salt is different from conventional table salt. Hawaiian, Himalayan, (harvested from ancient seabeds), Italian or Celtic, it is actually a wonderful superfood full of health benefits!

Sea salt is a great skin rejuvenator. It has been proved to be extremely beneficial for healthy and glowing skin. It improves hydration, and decreases inflammation of the skin and it is perfect to be used in face masks. Compared to table salt, sea salt has a higher mineral content (mentioned above). Sea salt tonics are a great way to make sure you are getting enough of the essential minerals. Because of its coarse consistency, it is a perfect natural exfoliant, to remove old skin cells while also nourishing and softening. Indulging in a salt bath is a truly wonderful way to promote healthy detox while enhancing your skin's protective properties.

As with anything, keeping a balance is important. Salt recommendations can vary from a person to a person, but generally an intake between 1-3 teaspoons a day is a good dose. The more active you are, the more you need to cosume because a lot of salt is lost with sweat. Enjoy it!
