Yoga is good for you


Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that unites breath control with meditation and physical movement, and is believed to have originated over 5ooo years ago within ancient Hindu circles. The Sanskrit word 'yoga' translates to 'to unite', and the ultimate goal of traditional yoga is moksha, which means 'freedom'. The main philosophy of yoga is simple: mind, body and spirit are all one and cannot be clearly separated. As much as there are countless poses of yoga to explore, the same applies to its countless benefits!
How can yoga help us? It improves flexibility, builds muscle strength, develops healthy posture, lengthens and energizes the spine, promotes fluid cartilage and joints, strengthens bones, encourages blood flow, improves cardiovascular conditioning, boosts our immune system by clearing lymphatic system, it sharpens our focus, uplifts our mood and provides deep relaxation for sound sleep.
